Isabelle, AKA "Isabunny" is the rescue's mascot. She was adopted in
Oklahoma City from a family who couldn't take her to their new
apartment. She loves eating, begging for food, running around the
house and playing outside. This picture shows her in her favorite
hiding spot outside, under the orange tree.
Lakota, was a sweet, lovable flemish giant, adopted from another
rabbit rescue. He had had a broken back in the past, and had a strong
heart murmur, that developed into heart failure. He loved everyone he
met and would show you with numerous kisses, as you pet his ears. His
"puppy-like" personality is greatly missed.
Missy-Pooh, "the not so average hamster," was an escape artist! She
escaped from her castle so much that it was eventually placed on the
floor with the door open. Every night she would wander her room, and
every morning she was back in her cage, asleep. In fact, she enjoyed
waking up "her human" by crawling onto the bed, onto her mother's face!
Ralph was adopted from the humane society, as one of a set of
"breeder" hamsters. He wasn't so friendly at first, but the adopter
knew it took time to build trust. By the end of his all-too-short
life, he loved being held. His favorite activity was running in his
ball, and constantly running into his much larger sister (a rabbit),
who would then push the ball away! It didn't stop Ralph, however, he
loved the game they played!
York is a sweet gerbil, currently living at Rascally Rabbit Rescue and
Critter Haven of Arizona, Inc. He is constantly chewing up cardboard
boxes, and begs for more cardboard and special food every time the
director walks by his house. He and his brother also enjoy running in
their wheels, all night long, and cuddling together when they have no
energy left to play. These boys were also adopted from the humane
society, so they could live a long, healthy, happy life.
